First council meeting in October scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 6

WAILUKU, Hawaii – The first Maui County Council meeting in October will be Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 9 a.m. in the Council Chamber, Council Chair Mike White announced today.

The council normally meets on the first and third Fridays each of month. The first meeting in October has been scheduled for Oct. 6 to accommodate councilmembers’ travel on official business, White said.

White said the agenda for the council meeting is expected to be posted on Sept. 29. Agenda items may include Bill 68 to approve zoning for Kihana Nursery in Kihei, Bill 69 to grant a five-year conditional permit for He-Man Landscaping in Lahaina and Bill 70 to provide infrastructure exemptions for qualified applicants on the Upcountry water meter list.

White said the public is encouraged to check posted agendas on the council calendar at MauiCounty.us/calendar.
