NEW ORLEANS – National Association of Counties President Linda Langston today presented Council Chair Gladys Baisa and Deputy County Clerk Josiah Nishita with a 2014 Best in Category Award for Civic Education and Public Information at NACo’s Achievement Awards Luncheon.
The award is based on Maui County Council’s implementation of a system that allows public testimony to be received from its district offices in Hana, Lanai and Molokai.
