Oct. 9 Planning Committee meeting canceled

WAILUKU, Hawaii – The Planning Committee meeting scheduled for Friday, Oct. 9 at 9 a.m. is canceled, Committee Chair Don Couch announced today.

Couch said Friday’s agenda included a bill that consolidates the county’s zoning provisions relating to parks and a bill on land use designations in community plans. The latter would codify long-standing practices of the County Planning Department for interpreting the effect of community plan land use designations on zoning, he said.

“Both bills remain important to the community,” Couch said. “I look forward to discussing the items at a later date and welcome additional testimony from the public.”
