Contact Tracers and Community Health Workers Needed: How You Can Apply

One weapon in the fight against COVID-19 has been contact tracers—trained to track down the spread of the virus so it can be contained. The University of Hawaii and the Hawaii State Department of Health have created a Contact Tracing Training Program that’s aiming to get hundreds more tracers up to speed by the end of the year. If you’ve got a bachelor’s degree, you can apply for a free six-week digital training program that includes academic credits.

If you have a high school diploma or GED, you can also train for free to become a community health worker, helping to link disadvantaged communities with health care resources. To apply for either program, visit go.hawaii.edu/AYD by clicking on the link below. For more information, visit the University of Hawaii website or email oshi@hawaii.edu.
