Review of Lanai Community Plan to continue after budget session

WAILUKU, Hawaii – Lanai residents expecting to continue the review of the Lanai Community Plan update this month are advised about a change in the meeting schedule, Planning Committee Chair Don Couch announced today.

At a committee meeting on March 5, Couch announced the committee’s intent to schedule a meeting in concurrence with the Lanai district budget meeting in April.

Couch said documents related to the plan need further review and preparation to ensure clarity when presented to the public.

“I intend to devote substantial time in preparing the Lanai Community Plan update documents even though council has started its budget deliberations,” Couch said. “I hope the committee can schedule another meeting on Lanai in May.”

Information about the Lanai Community Plan update is available online at MauiCounty.us/LanaiCommunityPlan. Comments may be submitted to pc.committee@mauicounty.us, referencing PC-11.
