Housing and Land Use Committee meeting canceled due to technical issues

WAILUKU, Hawaiʻi (Sept. 5, 2024)—Housing and Land Use Committee Chair Tasha Kama announced that today’s committee meeting scheduled for 5:30 p.m. has been canceled because of technical issues with the distribution of the meeting agenda.

Kama said automated email notifications were not sent when the meeting agenda was posted. The state Sunshine Law requires agendas to be distributed by the posting deadline to individuals who registered to receive them.

“Council staff is working with Granicus—our agenda creation and distribution vendor—to prevent future technical issues,” said Kama, who holds the council seat for the Kahului residency area. “We ask the public for their patience as we follow the appropriate legal procedures.”

The Housing and Land Use Committee meeting is rescheduled for Sept. 16 at 5:30 p.m. To view meeting agendas, visit mauicounty.us/agendas.
